Neurosurgery Nurse Practitioner (NP)

About the role

This facility is seeking a Surgery - Neurovascular Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant (NP) for locum tenens support to fill a current need. Start date: ASAP. Available shifts: 9. Located in Richmond, VA – a city blending historic antebellum charm with modern skyscrapers, offering tree‑lined streets, brick walkways and vibrant neighborhoods.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose illnesses
• Treat illnesses
• Order tests
• Interpret tests
• Write prescriptions
• Coordinate care
• First response to any code stroke alert within the facility

Qualifications

• American Association of Nurse Practitioners (AANP) certification
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification
• Current Virginia license

Requirements

• Experience with EPIC electronic medical record
• Supervising physician available by phone when not on site
• Credentialing timeframe: 120 days

Pay

$106.70 – $115.50 per hour

Schedule

Monday‑Friday, 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.; assignment runs from mid‑December 2024 through April 2027.
