About the role

This role will lead operational priorities focused on execution quality, efficiency, safety, and measurable performance outcomes. You will collaborate with field leadership, support functions, and cross-functional stakeholders to improve accountability, service delivery, and operational consistency. The position offers the opportunity to influence operational scale, customer outcomes, and organizational performance within a life sciences environment.

Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain relationships with pharmacies and healthcare professionals to resolve coverage issues
  • Collaborate with field sales and other departments to support patient access with payers
  • Train healthcare professionals on payor-specific coverage policies and patient support programs
  • Introduce technology options for electronic Patient Access submissions and assist with documentation
  • Communicate coverage issues effectively with internal and external stakeholders
  • Identify and report payer issues to the National Account Directors team
  • Conduct patient access workshops and assist with training new hires

Qualifications

  • BS/BA in related field with 6+ years pharma/biotech commercial experience (2+ years in specialty pharmacy/market access)
  • Master's degree or MBA preferred with 4+ years of experience, or PharmD/PhD with 2+ years of experience
  • Strong understanding of specialty pharmacies, managed care, PBMs, and government payers
  • Excellent knowledge of patient support programs, including reimbursement and financial assistance
  • Strong understanding of the prescription adjudication process
  • Ability to communicate payer coverage criteria and prior authorization processes
  • Ability to travel overnight up to 60% across the US
