Neurology - Epileptologist

About the role

The successful candidate will join eight fellowship-trained adult and pediatric epileptologists at a vibrant National Association of Epilepsy Centers designated level IV academic epilepsy program.

There are strong collaborations with child neurology, neurosurgery, neuroradiology, and neuropsychology. Our Neurology Department is a highly collegial and dedicated group with a strong tradition of clinical education.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive care for patients with epilepsy and related disorders
• Participate in the full spectrum of epilepsy services including diagnosis, treatment, and management
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement treatment plans
• Teach medical students, residents, and fellows
• Contribute to research and clinical trials

Requirements

• Board Certification in Neurology and Board Certification in Adult or Pediatric Neurology
• Fellowship training in Adult or Pediatric Neurology preferred
• Experience in epilepsy management and surgical evaluation
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

Qualifications

• MD or DO degree
• Current California Medical License
• Passing scores on the USMLE or COMLEX exams

Pay

The compensation range listed is for starting base compensation only and is adjusted based upon years of experience and/or faculty rank: $240,000- $290,000. This amount does not include variable compensation or extra productivity and is subject to the individual department compensation plans.
