Epileptologist

About the role

Legacy Medical Group Neurology is seeking a full-time, outpatient Epileptologist to join their growing team. Fellowship training in epilepsy is preferred; however, candidates who have completed a clinical neurophysiology fellowship with an EEG focus are also encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

• Outpatient clinic responsibilities, including general neurology and ample opportunity to develop or expand an epilepsy-focused subspecialty practice.
• Outpatient clinic duties.
• EMU service responsibilities.
• Epilepsy EEG interpretation.
• No emergency department call.
• Opportunities to participate in research, education, and leadership initiatives.

Requirements

• Graduate of a four-year accredited U.S. Medical School or the equivalent.
• Satisfactory completion of an accredited residency in Neurology.
• Board Certified in Neurology.
• Unrestricted license to practice medicine in the applicable state.
• Active membership in good standing of Hospital Medical Staff.
• BLS for Provider certification from the American Heart Association minimally required (ACLS may substitute for BLS).

Qualifications

• Medical School graduate or equivalent.
• Residency in Neurology completed.
• Board certified in Neurology.
• Licensed to practice medicine in the applicable state.
• Active member in good standing of Hospital Medical Staff.
• BLS for Provider certification from the American Heart Association minimally required (ACLS may substitute for BLS).
