Epileptologist

Responsibilities

• Maintain ABMS recognized Board Certification in Neurology or one of its subspecialties.
• Develop a specific area of clinical interest within the Neuroscience Service Line.
• Support Chief Of Service With Interface with administration on staffing and capital requirements.
• Develop CQI and PI plans with staff, review outcomes and implement corrective action plans.
• Aid in marketing development and outreach efforts to hospital and community physicians.
• Present Grand Rounds or other similar lectures.
• Attend meetings as required.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Chief, Neurology and Chairman of Medicine.
• As a consulting neurologist on unassigned and private patients (initial consult and follow-up on the medical floor, Neuro/Stroke Unit, ICU).
• Share general neurology call coverage (approximately 1:4).
• Precept Neurology clinic (1 morning/week) (DePaul Center).
• Collaborate with designated Advance Practice Nurses assigned to neurology/stroke.
• Private practice office (mix of epilepsy and general neurology).
• Participate in ongoing clinical research and clinical trials.
