Role Summary
Provide outpatient care for patients with neuroimmunological disorders, primarily Multiple Sclerosis, under physician supervision.
Key Responsibilities
- Assess patient health through history, physical exams, and psychosocial evaluation.
- Order, perform, and interpret diagnostic tests; consult with clinicians as needed to determine diagnosis and treatment plans.
- Develop and implement treatment plans, prescribe medications, and educate patients and families on treatments and health promotion.
- Handle minor procedures, maintain accurate documentation, and participate in quality assurance activities.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, manage patient care continuity, and facilitate communication with providers and community resources.
Qualifications & Skills
- Licensed and certified Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant with current CPR; minimum three years outpatient experience.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and confidentiality skills; adaptable to fast-paced environments.
- Preferred: 5+ years outpatient experience, neurology background, ACLS certification, bilingual in English and Spanish, and familiarity with electronic medical records.
Pay
Salary starts at $105,000+ depending on experience.
