About the role
Provide outpatient care for patients with Multiple Sclerosis and neuroimmunological disorders under supervision, including assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and patient education.
Responsibilities
- Assess patient health through history, physical exams, and screening tests.
- Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement evidence-based treatment plans, including medication management.
- Educate patients and families on health promotion, illness prevention, and treatments.
- Document medical information accurately, participate in quality assurance, and ensure compliance with standards.
- Act as a clinical consultant, manage patient care continuity, and coordinate referrals and community resources.
Qualifications
- Licensed and certified Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant with current CPR certification.
- Minimum three years outpatient clinical experience; neurology experience preferred.
- Strong communication, organizational, and confidentiality skills.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment and develop effective relationships.
Preferred Qualifications
- Five or more years of outpatient experience, especially in neurology or MS care.
- Additional certifications such as ACLS; bilingual in English and Spanish.
- Experience with electronic medical records, patient-reported outcomes, and research activities.
Pay
Salary starts at $105,000+ depending on qualifications.
Schedule and Physical Requirements
- Role involves repetitive keyboard use, manual dexterity, lifting, and working around biohazards in standard or clinical environments.
