Neuro Step Down Nurse (Full Time) (Evening/Night)

About the role

This position oversees the Neuro Step Down Department, ensuring clinical and operational excellence. The role involves managing staff, participating in on-call rotations, and supporting departmental functions such as reporting, staffing, and regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement staffing plans
• Analyze patient outcomes and drive improvements
• Handle service recovery and ensure staff meet competency standards
• Manage payroll, staff communication, and performance evaluations
• Oversee hiring processes and staff development
• Collaborate with leadership to meet operational goals and maintain regulatory readiness
• Participate in budget development and financial management
• Lead and mentor staff to promote quality patient care
• Flexibility for evening and occasional overnight shifts

Requirements

• Nursing Diploma or Associate's degree in Nursing
• 2-5 years of nursing experience (5-10 years preferred)
• Active RN licensure
• Bachelor's degree in Nursing preferred
• Supervisory experience desirable but not mandatory
