Neuro Step Down Nurse (Full Time) (Evening/Night)

About the Role

The Nurse Manager oversees the Neuro Step Down Department, ensuring clinical and operational excellence in a 24-bed neuro unit caring for neurological and general medicine patients.

Responsibilities

• Supervise staff, manage staffing levels, and oversee performance evaluations.
• Participate in budget development and ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
• Coordinate patient care, monitor outcomes, and support service recovery efforts.
• Lead staff communication, conduct audits, and ensure competency and environmental readiness.
• Manage payroll, timecards, and staffing schedules, including overtime and onboarding.
• Collaborate with leadership for operational improvements and staff development.

Requirements

• RN licensure with a Nursing Diploma or Associate's Degree; Bachelor's Degree preferred.
• 2–10 years of nursing experience, with supervisory experience preferred.
• Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
• Ability to manage budgets, compliance, and staff performance effectively.
