Neuro Step Down Nurse (Full Time) (Evening/Night)

About the Role

This position oversees daily operations in a Neuro Step Down Department, ensuring clinical and service excellence.

Responsibilities

• Supervise staff with direct reports, including onboarding, training, performance evaluations, and professional development.
• Manage staffing, scheduling, and workload distribution to meet operational goals.
• Participate in budget development and monitor adherence to financial targets.
• Ensure staff compliance with regulatory, competency, and environmental standards through audits and corrective actions.
• Handle staff communication, payroll reconciliation, and report analysis to identify trends and improve patient outcomes.
• Support service recovery efforts and resolve operational issues related to physician and bed management.
• Collaborate with leadership to develop action plans and respond to changing department needs.

Requirements

• RN license with a nursing diploma or Associate's degree; Bachelor's degree preferred.
• 2-5 years of clinical experience; 5-10 years preferred.
• Experience in staff supervision and operational management is advantageous.
• Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.

Schedule

The role involves participation in on-call rotations and occasional overnight coverage.
