Network Technician (Local to Minnesota Only)

Responsibilities

• Install or replace physical network switches and ports in system infrastructure throughout the organization
• Support System Engineers in diagnosing and troubleshooting network connectivity issues
• Safely load and secure hardware equipment in vehicles
• Document work performed using pictures, notes, and shared spreadsheets
• Identify appropriate hardware equipment to be transported and delivered for the required job
• Communicate setup issues and concerns with System Engineers and the network team
• Avoid communication about workspace standard power systems and wireless connectivity issues with the network team
• Document appropriate hardware equipment delivered to the System Engineer
• Discuss planned hardware transportation, installation, schedule, and connection with the Systems Engineer
• Avoid assisting the Systems Engineer in layout of new infrastructure equipment
• Provide knowledge transfer to other Network Team members as required

Requirements

• A high school diploma/GED and four or more years of relevant work experience
• An Associate or higher degree or two-year college/technical school certification and two or more years of relevant work experience
• A flexible full-time schedule
• Able to provide reliable transportation

Preferred Qualifications

• Cisco certification
• Azure certification
• Experience working with General low voltage power, multi-media connectivity, and SolarWinds
• Experience reading blueprints and floor plans
• Experience promoting an equitable, positive, and respectful work environment that values culture and diversity among all employees

Pay

The projected hourly range for this position is $35-40/hr.
