Neonatology Advanced Practice Provider
About the role
The Section of Neonatology at the Children’s Hospital at Dartmouth-Hitchcock (CHaD) is seeking a full-time Advanced Practice Provider to join a team of Neonatal Nurse Practitioners, Physician Assistants, and Neonatologists. The ideal candidate will provide expert care across the spectrum of neonatal illnesses—from acute and critical to intermediate and chronic—embracing the philosophy of family-centered care.
The Neonatal APP will be responsible for the primary care of a caseload of patients, attending high-risk deliveries, serving as a team leader in neonatal resuscitations, and leading critically ill neonatal transports. The Section of Neonatology includes 7 neonatologists and over a dozen advanced practice providers who provide care for infants in the ICN, a 30-bed regional Level III NICU. DHMC is the primary referral center for high-risk maternal-fetal care in the region, serving medical and surgical patients from most of New Hampshire and eastern Vermont.
Responsibilities
- Provide primary care for a caseload of neonatal patients
- Attend high-risk deliveries
- Serve as team leader in neonatal resuscitations
- Lead critically ill neonatal transports
Requirements
- Completion of an accredited graduate program as a PA or Neonatal APRN
- National certification as an NNP or PA-C
- Previous neonatal experience preferred
- Eligible for NH licensure as an APRN or PA
- Eligible for DEA registration
- Successful completion of NRP program
