Neonatal Nurse Practitioner - Pediatric Critical Care - PRN

About the role

We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Neonatal Nurse Practitioner (NNP) to provide high-quality care in a Level IV NICU.

Responsibilities

• Assessing, diagnosing, and managing critically ill neonates and preterm infants
• Collaborating with neonatologists, pediatricians, and nursing staff for multidisciplinary care
• Supporting neonatal procedures such as intubation and central line placement
• Conducting rounds, documentation, and care planning in the EMR
• Providing family education on infant care and health issues
• Participating in quality improvement initiatives and adhering to clinical protocols
• Offering on-call coverage as needed, including nights, weekends, and holidays

Qualifications

• Master's Degree in Nursing with specialization in Neonatal Nursing
• Current licensure and board certification as an NNP
• At least two years of NICU experience preferred
• Strong clinical, procedural, and communication skills
• Proficiency in EMR systems
• Preferred certifications: NRP and BLS

Schedule

This PRN role offers flexible scheduling, with shifts including days, nights, weekends, and holidays, managing 8-12 patients per shift in a fast-paced environment.
