Neonatal Nurse Practitioner - Locum Tenens

About the Role

This position involves providing neonatal-perinatal medicine care in a Level III NICU during 24-hour shifts. The clinician will handle therapeutic hypothermia, neonatal stabilization, and transfer coordination for surgical cases, supporting a patient load of approximately 155 PPD.

Responsibilities

• Provide inpatient neonatal care during assigned shifts
• Coordinate transfers for surgical cases
• Support neonatal stabilization and therapeutic hypothermia procedures
• Participate in on-call responsibilities
• Manage transfers from rural hospitals
• Work collaboratively with 24-hour NP coverage and 1-2 MDs

Requirements

• Board certification in neonatal-perinatal medicine
• Active Alabama medical license
• Prescriptive authority
