Locum Tenens - Nurse Practitioner Neonatology

About the Role

Provide specialized neonatal care in a Level III NICU, managing patient assessments, treatments, and collaborating with the healthcare team to ensure quality patient outcomes. Cover 16-hour shifts in a busy inpatient setting with approximately 1,250 annual deliveries.

Responsibilities

• Deliver comprehensive neonatal care in the NICU.
• Support in LDR couplet rooms and coordinate with in-house OB hospitalists.
• Manage a daily census of 9–11 infants.
• Ensure compliance with hospital and NICU standards and protocols.

Requirements

• Active Virginia license and DEA registration.
• Appropriate neonatal care certification (e.g., NNP).
• Familiarity with NICU protocols and patient management.

Skills

• Strong clinical skills in neonatal care.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a healthcare team.
• Excellent communication skills.
