About the role

Serves as Piedmont Assistant Operations Project Manager responsible for the overall natural resources program management, recreation, park operation, visitor assistance, environmental stewardship, flood risk management, and other associated programs within the Piedmont Section.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute the planning, management, operation and maintenance of the project’s operational control activities and the project’s natural and man-made resources and assure compliance with environmental laws and regulations.
  • Responsible for allocation, tracking, and reallocation of current fiscal year O&M funding for all Business Functions for assigned projects.

Requirements

This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing the DHA for Certain Personnel of the DoD, Section 9905 to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service. Veterans' preference does not apply to this announcement.

Qualifications

  • Minimum Education Requirement: General Natural Resources Management and Biological Sciences Series 0401: Bachelor's degree (or higher) in biological sciences, agriculture, natural resource management, chemistry, or related disciplines appropriate to the position.

  • Specialized Experience Qualified applicants should describe in their resume at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-11 level with managing natural resources and outdoor recreation programs.
