About the role
As a National Contract Logistics IT Specialist at Kuehne+Nagel, you will serve as a key partner to Contract Logistics sites across the country, providing technical support, system administration, and operational technology expertise that enables efficient and uninterrupted supply chain operations. This role collaborates with local operations teams, regional IT resources, vendors, and business stakeholders to ensure technology solutions meet business needs while maintaining security, compliance, and system reliability.
How you create impact
- Provide first and second-level support for Contract Logistics IT systems, applications, hardware, and network-related issues across multiple sites
- Support Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), transportation applications, RF devices, printers, scanners, and other operational technologies
- Troubleshoot and resolve incidents, service requests, and system performance issues while meeting defined service level expectations
- Coordinate system implementations, upgrades, testing, and deployment activities for new and existing logistics sites
- Partner with operations teams to identify process improvements and technology solutions that enhance productivity and customer service
- Monitor system health, network connectivity, and infrastructure performance to ensure maximum uptime and operational continuity
- Manage user access, permissions, account provisioning, and compliance with company IT security policies
- Work closely with vendors and internal IT teams to escalate and resolve complex technical issues
- Create and maintain technical documentation, procedures, training materials, and knowledge-base resources
- Support site startups, customer implementations, and technology-related projects as required
- Provide end-user training and guidance on business applications and operational technology tools
- Ensure compliance with company standards, cybersecurity requirements, and data protection policies
What we would like you to bring
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field preferred
- 3+ years of IT support experience in a logistics, warehouse, distribution, manufacturing, or supply chain environment preferred
- Experience supporting Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), ERP platforms, RF devices, barcode scanners, mobile computers, and label printers
- Strong troubleshooting skills across Windows environments, hardware, software, networking, and operational technologies
- Knowledge of Microsoft 365, Active Directory, networking fundamentals, and endpoint support
- Experience managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced operational environment
- Strong communication and customer service skills with the ability to support both technical and non-technical users
- Ability to travel periodically to support sites, implementations, and business initiatives
