About the role

Manage and direct sales and profitability growth of Greenworks products at Tractor Supply. Create the vision for the account and work closely with key internal functions on strategy and execution. Develop strong relationships with senior merchants, buyers, and their teams.

Responsibilities

  • Establish and implement sales strategies to support sales and profit growth.
  • Manage overall P&L, analyzing and driving each business segment to meet sales and profit goals.
  • Oversee key retailer economic analysis.
  • Participate in New Product Development teams as required.
  • Forecast customer product needs monthly through demand/forecasting function.
  • Actively participate in Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) meetings for future product demand, production scheduling, and finished-goods inventory.
  • Manage excess finished goods, back-up inventory flow, and related business operations.
  • Build and maintain direct relationships with existing and potential account decision-makers.
  • Facilitate meetings between Greenworks senior management and customer leadership.
  • Attend and represent Greenworks at key trade and customer events.
  • Communicate activity formally and informally, including weekly updates.
  • Organize and formalize account visits with predetermined objectives; coordinate with other business principals.
  • Provide regular, factual market feedback to VP Sales, Product Development Teams, and other personnel.
  • Formalize trade sales agreements for internal and external customers on a timely basis.
  • Assist product management teams in developing product lines to maximize opportunities.
  • Assist management in determining product needs, marketing programs, and merchandising strategies to meet sales and profit objectives.
  • Prepare required and special reports (verbal and written) promptly.
  • Recommend policies including warranty, returns, credit, and distribution planning.
  • Provide input to the strategic planning process as requested.
  • Assist in establishing and managing the selling expense budget for national accounts.
  • Manage and plan multiple tasks/projects simultaneously.
  • Lead, motivate, and develop internal direct reports.
  • Execute plans to achieve profitability goals for the Greenworks account.
  • Collaborate effectively with marketing, product management, new product development, sales support, credit, operations, and engineering to ensure customer satisfaction.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Business or Marketing; MBA is a strong plus.
  • 3–5 years of mid-level experience in the consumer durable products industry through sales, product management, or marketing.
  • Proven successful track record and relationships in the industry.
  • Experience with battery-powered outdoor tools.
  • Solid computer skills with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Ability to travel up to 25% for meetings, marketing visits, and other business needs.

  • Solid understanding of Retail Link and ability to identify opportunity gaps.
  • Demonstrated ability to work with financial numbers in presentations and written communications.
  • Superior people, oral, written, and listening communication skills.
  • Proactive business approach with a focus on critical customer issues.
  • Ability to deliver professional presentations to multiple levels of team members, customers, and vendors.
