About the role
The National Account Manager spearheads and advises the team selling GME Supply products to current and prospective customers. This role drives volume, revenue, and margin growth by increasing market share through customer service teams, regional sales staff, and national account relationships. It is consultative and collaborative, focusing on identifying new customers, targeting new industries, and customizing process improvements for efficiency and profit expansion.
Responsibilities
- Revenue Strategy
- Identify and create revenue goals for business development
- Develop and execute strategies to achieve quarterly and annual sales goals
- Proactively drive growth through sales staff and personal activity
- Territory Strategy
- Analyze market characteristics and trends for the business development team
- Collaborate with executives to research and quantify growth opportunities
- Strategic planning with leadership and staff to reach goals
- Establish a pattern of success through presence in territory markets
- Collaborate with staff and Marketing to develop strategic relationship plans
- Travel within territory, with staff, and for national account maintenance and growth
- Engage with industry associations and groups as relevant
- Customer Strategy
- Identify clients, establish trust, and build relationships to strategic business partner status
- Advocate for the needs of sales staff, clients, and internal teams
- Manage staff knowledge and expectations to enhance client experience
- Business Knowledge Strategy
- Pursue continual product and brand knowledge
- Develop product expertise for team collaboration
- Engage actively with vendors and brands for client and company benefit
- Personnel Development Strategy
- Identify staff strengths and reinforce them
- Address areas of improvement for staff
- Focus on enhancing skills, interactions, growth, and character
- Develop and monitor personal growth plans with staff
Qualifications
