National Account Manager

About the role
We’re looking for a high-performing National Account Manager to drive our strategic growth by managing key national accounts, achieving ambitious sales and gross margin goals, and identifying new business opportunities. This role plays a crucial part in helping us meet acquisition and revenue targets while maintaining our competitive edge and fostering innovation.
Salary range: $75,000–$95,000 (depending on skills and knowledge). Location: Dallas, TX. Reports to: Director of Business Development.
Responsibilities
- Cold-call outreach and customer prospecting/follow-up through phone, email, and messaging services on a daily basis.
- Prepare reports of business transactions, rate requests, and sales leads.
- Deliver presentations that emphasize features and related benefits, supported by research and detailed work.
- Travel up to 12 days a month throughout assigned territories in Canada and the Western United States to call on high-volume, high-revenue accounts ($250,000+ per year in gross revenues) to maintain and increase business.
- Negotiate major contracts, assemble tender packages including rate proposals, company information, equipment, and financials.
- Monitor customer and competitive developments; recommend packaging improvements, cost-saving innovations, and efficiency enhancements.
- Responsible for approximately $10–15 million gross revenue per year (100–150 accounts).
- Respond to all customer concerns, complaints, and requests.
- Gather accurate customer information regarding density, packaging, and volumes.
- Stay current on customer and competitor changes to inform and grow business.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in sales or a relevant industry.
- Self-motivated and results-driven.
- Excellent interpersonal, organizational, communication (written and verbal), analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- High level of cognitive and emotional intelligence.
- Strong negotiation skills.
- Ability to gain a strong understanding and working knowledge of:
- CCFS markets, contracts, pricing publications, and competitors.
- CCFS infrastructure and operating characteristics.
- CCFS information and reporting systems.
- Interline partner systems, capabilities, and procedures.
- Transportation industry behavior, including CCFS pricing mechanisms and costing systems.
Pay
$75,000–$95,000 per year, depending on skills and knowledge.
Schedule
Up to 12 days of travel per month throughout Canada and the Western United States.
