Nanook Technology Services Student Assistant
About the role
Nanook Technology Services (NTS) is seeking new students to join either the Technology Support Services (TSS) team, or the Collaboration and Learning Spaces (CLS) team. TSS Student Assistants assist full time employees with technical support, logistics, inventory management, and internal organization. CLS Student Assistants help instructors in classrooms, assist with new room system installations, maintain documentation, and troubleshoot various technical issues.
Responsibilities
- Be a customer-oriented and friendly individual who can deal with occasional stressful situations.
- Have a basic understanding of technology and major desktop and mobile operating systems.
- Be interested and willing to learn about technology.
- Exhibit excellent communication and customer service skills, in person, over the phone, and over a video call.
- Be able to accomplish work efficiently, especially in an unsupervised environment.
- Demonstrate problem-solving skills to resolve technical issues effectively and promptly.
Requirements
- A high school diploma or equivalent.
- UA student enrolled in the minimum of 6 credit hours, with a minimum GPA of 2.0 or a newly enrolled student.
- Experience sufficient to be able to learn skills in information technology and customer service.

Benefits

This position offers a starting hourly rate of $16.00 per hour, with compensation commensurate with experience and assigned work.
Schedule
This is a part-time position, offering up to 20 hours per week (40 hours per week with a wavier) while school is in session. Additional hours may be available during summer and winter breaks.
