IT Student Assistant – Technology Infrastructure

About the role

The Technology Infrastructure Services Division (TISD) at California Public Employees’ Retirement System (CalPERS) seeks two IT Student Assistants to support network administration and cloud services.

Responsibilities

• Work with Network Administration to provide operations and network management support for CalPERS employees.
• Support Cloud Services in managing cloud applications and tools (e.g., Terraform).
• Assist with day-to-day maintenance and operation tasks as needed.
• Work flexible hours to accommodate class schedules.

Requirements

• Currently enrolled in an appropriate college or university program.
• Experience with networking or cloud-related technologies.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.

Qualifications

• Education or experience with networking or cloud-related technologies.
• Experience presenting ideas and information effectively to diverse audiences.

SkillsKnowledge of cloud service providers (AWS, Azure, etc.)

Understanding of data networking
