About The Position

We are seeking individuals who are hard-working, motivated, and eager to build a rewarding career. The MVD Service Representative is responsible for providing motor vehicle services such as licensing, titling, and permits. Key responsibilities include processing credentials and title work, answering customer questions, conducting tests, and ensuring security and accuracy.

Job Duties

  • Process credentials and title work
  • Examine documents and applications for accuracy, validity, and security
  • Answer customer questions and provide customer service
  • Data entry and review
  • Administer testing including operator knowledge and skills testing
  • Conduct level 1 vehicle inspections
  • Capture customers' photo, signature, and application information
  • Determine, collect, and evaluate fees
  • Secure and protect all personal identity information (PII)
  • Participate in process improvement activities

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Knowledge of ADOT/MVD rules, regulations, processes, and procedures
  • Customer service principles and best practices
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to type and use a keyboard at a pace consistent with expected productivity
  • Proficiency in operating a PC/computer, proprietary MVD software, and standard office equipment
  • Ability to adapt to a changing work environment
  • Ability to work effectively in an office environment
  • Weekend availability required
  • Bilingual in Spanish required

Preferred Qualifications

This is an entry-level training position and does not require prior experience. Successful completion of training and adherence to performance standards within six months is preferred.

Pre-Employment Requirements

  • Must possess and maintain a valid driver's license
  • Background check and fingerprinting are required
  • Must operate a motor vehicle on State business with a current, unexpired, and non-revoked/suspended license
  • Must maintain acceptable driving records and complete all required driver training
  • Must have statutorily required liability insurance for personally owned vehicles used on state business
  • All newly hired State employees must successfully complete E-Verify
