Responsibilities
- Performs preventative maintenance and repairs for multiple systems and equipment to ensure a safe environment and operational reliability according to standards established by the management team.
- Performs inspections, maintenance, and repairs to facilities to provide a safe environment for patients, staff, and visitors.
- Performs repairs to failed equipment according to established standards and within acceptable timeframes.
- Performs troubleshooting and problem-solving maintenance duties for multiple systems and equipment according to standards established by the management team.
- Demonstrates troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Demonstrates technical knowledge depth on multiple pieces of equipment and associated systems.
- Demonstrates basic electrical knowledge and meter usage.
- Demonstrates Fire Safety knowledge such as fire extinguisher designations and usage.
- Ensures work product meets the expected criteria.
- Maintains good rapport and cooperative working relationships with internal and external customers.
- Completes activities in a way that maximizes task effectiveness and minimizes customer impact.
- Demonstrates ability to create and process purchase orders.
- Ensures inventory under individual craftsman control meets orderliness, labeling, and quantity standards.
- Consistently demonstrates positive, responsible leadership and guidance.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent (required).
- 3 years' experience as a general maintenance service-related Technician (required).
- Hospital experience (preferred).
Skills
- Preventative maintenance and repair of facility equipment across multiple trades (plumbing, electrical, mechanical, HVAC, refrigeration, pneumatic tube, painting, carpentry, and associated systems).
- Troubleshooting and problem-solving for various systems and equipment.
- Basic electrical knowledge and meter usage.
- Fire Safety knowledge, including fire extinguisher designations and usage.
- Effective communication and customer service.
- Purchase order creation and processing.
- Inventory management and control.
