Duties and Responsibilities

  • Direct all phases of the Human Resources function including recruitment, onboarding, performance & talent management, engagement and other related people initiatives or programs.
  • Aid in managing Temporary Agencies supplying labor to the plant and hold the Temporary Agencies accountable to Pratt Industries Hiring Criteria.
  • Manage new hire feedback and review process.
  • Identifies and implements efficient and effective recruiting methods and strategies.
  • Administer all employee benefits including medical, dental, vision, STD, LTD, FMLA, vacation, paid leaves.
  • Investigate employee relations issues, including hotline reports, with focus on timely resolution.
  • Maintain and administer any records or personnel files as required by state and federal laws.
  • Maintain and analyze metrics related to absenteeism, retention, and other HR KPI’s.
  • Assist with processing biweekly payroll.
  • Balance multiple commitments in fast paced environment.
  • Participate in daily/weekly meetings, acting as point of contact and HR Business Partner.
  • Travel to locations as needed.

Requirements, Education, and Experience

  • 5 years of experience as a HR generalist or HR Manager.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Computer literate (proficient in MS Word, MS Excel).
  • BS degree in HR Management or related field preferred.
  • Manufacturing experience preferred.
  • Preferred SPHR or PHR certification.
  • Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish preferred.

  • Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, and percentages.

Technical Skills

  • Computer literacy (MS Office including Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
  • Proficient knowledge and application of HR laws and regulations

Preferred Candidates

  • Experience with ADP and other HRIS’s.

Physical Demands

  • Employee is regularly required to walk and talk and hear, sit and stand.
  • The noise level in the work environment can be, at times, loud.
