Multi-Duty Receptionist - Hometown Pediatric Morristown a Division of Summit Medical Group

Hometown Pediatric Morristown, a division of Summit Medical Group, has an immediate need for an experienced Multi-Duty Receptionist to join their passionate, authentic, and growing team of professionals.

About the role

This is a full-time opportunity, working Monday through Friday.

Responsibilities

• Answers phone calls in a professional manner and assists callers’ needs appropriately.
• Greets patients and visitors in a prompt, courteous, and helpful manner.
• Checks-in patients, verifies and updates necessary information in the medical records/database, performs all registration functions, and collects copays and balances due, as appropriate.
• Assists patients with ambulatory difficulties or other needs, as appropriate.
• Schedules appointments, handles referrals, and pre-certifications.
• Files charts and coordinates lab work, as requested.
• Sorts and delivers mail, medical records, and other correspondence.
• Maintains work area in a neat and orderly manner.
• Dependable attendance and punctuality; notifies supervisor at least two weeks in advance for time off (excluding emergencies).
• Cooperates and helps coworkers as needed, committed to the success of the team.
• Attends meetings, as required.
• Maintains strictest confidentiality, both internally and externally.
• Adheres to the corporate compliance plan and policies.
• Actively participates in site-level Quality Improvement Activities, contributing to the evaluation of site performance and implementation of improvement activities.
• Performs related work, as assigned.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent, required.
• One year of experience in a medical office setting preferred but not required.
• Strong communication skills, attention to detail, time management, and organization.
• Ability to build trust through active listening and collaboration.
• Team-first mindset with a desire to help others and motivated by pursuing excellence.
