MRI Technologist - Pediatric

About the Role

Provides imaging services by operating MRI or radiology scanners to obtain diagnostic images. Prepares and positions patients, selects appropriate technical parameters, and administers contrast media within scope of practice. Ensures high-quality images are accurately transferred to PACS, monitors equipment functionality, and maintains a clean, safe environment. Performs patient pre-screening, education, and data entry, adhering to safety protocols. Works in a constant state of alertness and performs additional duties as assigned.

Responsibilities

• Operate imaging equipment to produce diagnostic images
• Prepare patients and select correct imaging parameters
• Administer contrast media and medications responsibly
• Ensure image quality and proper documentation
• Maintain equipment and department cleanliness
• Follow safety and regulatory standards

Requirements

• Completion of a Radiology or MRI program
• ARRT-R credential required; ARMRIT or ARRT-MR within 12 months of hire
• No prior experience necessary
• Physical ability to stand, walk, lift, and move patients and equipment frequently
