About the role
We are seeking an MRI Technologist to work part-time weekdays/daytime hours, to provide additional coverage in Colonial Heights, VA and Richmond, VA. Routes are subject to change based upon business needs.
Pay
$60/hour, paid door-to-door.

Responsibilities
- Operate magnetic resonance imaging machines and create diagnostic images of patients according to their physicians’ instructions.
- Document patients' health histories, prepare them for scans, and keep them relaxed and comfortable during the procedure.
- Follow the orders of the referring physician and protocols and administer prescribed medications.
- Use knowledge of imaging techniques and cross-sectional anatomy to create high-quality images for interpretation by radiologists and other medical professionals.
- Transfer images and verify the images and patient information arrived correctly.
- Comply with safety and quality procedures and initiatives by strictly following safety policies, rules and safe work methods, making suggestions to support continuous improvements in safety, promptly correcting or reporting safety hazards or unsafe conditions, promptly reporting injuries for timely diagnoses and medical treatment, and by participating in safety processes such as safety committee, safety inspections, etc.
- Travel up to 100% of the time as required.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Associate's degree (A.A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or six months to one-year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- PC proficiency to access job-related internet websites, review online documentation and experience using Microsoft Office Suite products.
- Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication, analytical, critical thinking, organizational and time management skills.
- Must be a self-starter with the ability to work well independently.
- Ability to follow instructions in stressful environments.
- Superb bedside manner and the ability to work with a variety of personalities.
- ARRT certification.
- CPR certified.
- Mandatory education provided by DMS.
- State licensure if required.
Health and Safety Requirements
- MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella) vaccination, titer, or declination.
- Varicella (Chickenpox) vaccination, titer, or declination.
- Hepatitis B Series vaccination.
- Tdap (Tetanus, Diphtheria, Pertussis) vaccination.
- Annual Influenza vaccine.
- COVID-19 vaccination, if required by facility policy.
- Tuberculosis screening (annual or per facility guidelines).
Physical Demands
- Stand, walk, sit, stoop, kneel and crawl.
- Climb up and down stairs.
- Push and pull wheelchairs.
- Carry and lift with the ability to move non-ambulatory patients from a sitting or lying position for transfer or exam.
- Lift up to 50 pounds occasionally.
