About the role

This position requires flexibility and floating to our other locations as needed; must be willing to travel.

Responsibilities

  • Perform and ensure appropriate quality control
  • Provide requested films of high diagnostic quality based on the specifics of each case
  • Interact effectively and professionally with patients, referring physicians/their staff, and fellow employees while maintaining the best possible patient flow and throughput at all times

Requirements

  • Physical dexterity and strength to operate all types of MR related equipment, properly position patients, and handle patient films and files
  • Conceptual ability to determine means of providing requested studies based on the specifics of each case
  • Interpersonal skills to interact effectively with patients who may be under physical and/or emotional stress, referring physicians and staff, radiologists, fellow employees, supplier and service representatives, and any/all others who they will come in contact with during the course of the business day
  • Organizational skills as required by the position
  • Analytical skills necessary for the compilation and interpretation of data
  • Demonstrated knowledge and skills necessary to provide proper patient care
  • Demonstrated knowledge and skills necessary to perform exams as outlined by governing bodies and RIMI protocol
  • Bilingual (Spanish/Portuguese) preferred but not required

Qualifications

  • Must be ARRT registered, MR Certification
  • Iv experience required

Skills

  • Physical Demands: Walks and stands intermittently throughout the day. May lift/position patients and supplies up to 50 pounds. Ability to move patients from scanner tables and transport patients in wheelchairs and/or stretchers. Ability to crouch, reach, and lift to allow appropriate manipulation positioning and placement of ancillary equipment.
  • Exposure: Exposure to high magnetic fields and cannot have any physical condition that would be aggravated by magnetic fields, acoustic noise, and occasional RF exposure.
  • Work Environment: Ability to work in Zone 3 and Zone 4.

Pay

Prorated based on core hours.

Schedule

  • Monday & Friday float, 8-hour day shift varies
  • Tuesday & Thursday 3:00 PM-9:00 PM (North Providence clinical site)
  • Every third Sunday 7:00 AM-3:30 PM (North Providence clinical site)
