MRI Technologist - Night Shift (Part-Time)

About the role

Seeking a Full-Time Charge MRI Radiology Technologist for overnight shifts, responsible for performing diagnostic imaging procedures, primarily MRI, on adult and pediatric patients. The role involves preparing patients and equipment, independently conducting studies, and managing shift operations, including workflow and resource allocation. The technologist acts as a clinical resource, troubleshooting, mentoring staff, and serving as a liaison between team members and supervisors. They may assume supervisory duties in their absence and assist in training new employees or students.

Responsibilities

• Preparing patients and equipment for imaging procedures
• Performing studies independently, including portable exams and on-call situations
• Overseeing daily shift operations and troubleshooting technical issues
• Mentoring staff and supporting department workflow
• Ensuring proper communication and supply management

Qualifications & Skills

• Associate degree or trade school equivalency
• Certification as a Registered Technologist in Radiography - R.T.(R) and/or MR
• 2-5 years of experience; supervisory experience is a plus
• Licenses and certifications such as RTR, CT, MR, M, BD, CI, VI, RCIS, RCES; IEMA license for Illinois (excluding MRI)
• Preferred: 5-10 years of experience and CPR certification
