About the role

The MRI (Magnetic Resonance Imaging) Technologist operates imaging equipment and software, mostly MRI equipment, to assist in the diagnosis and treatment of patients. This role requires operating imaging equipment, ensuring patient safety, and maintaining high-quality imaging standards.

Responsibilities

• Operate imaging equipment to acquire high-quality diagnostic images.
• Ensure patient safety and comfort during imaging procedures.
• Collaborate with patients and healthcare professionals to provide optimal care.
• Communicate effectively with patients, explaining procedures, addressing concerns, and providing emotional support.
• Work effectively within a healthcare team, collaborating with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare staff to ensure optimal patient care and outcomes.
• Follow complex instructions and maintain attention to detail.
• Work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited Imaging Program and completed required clinical hours.
• No prior experience required.
• Licensure may be required depending on the specific state of practice.
• ARRT registry or registry eligible (achieve registry within 6 months of eligibility).
• BLS certification within 30 days of hire.
