Full Time, Day Shift (80 hours biweekly) – Monday to Friday, varied hours based on department needs (primarily day shift).

About the Role

Supervises personnel and assists in managing daily imaging operations. Provides imaging services, performs duties as on-call team leader, and trains new staff.

Responsibilities

• Evaluates effectiveness of all services rendered and makes recommendations regarding addition or deletion of services.
• Develops and oversees departmental policies, philosophy, plan, goals, and objectives.
• Maintains drug control for the department in conjunction with Pharmaceutical Services.
• Provides in-service education for technologists and participates in instruction.
• Selects, trains/orients, assigns department staff, evaluates performance, and makes recommendations for personnel actions.
• Prepares work assignments and weekly schedules for imaging technologists.
• Demonstrates knowledge of the principles of growth and development over the life span of the assigned patient population; assesses and interprets patient age-specific data and provides appropriate, age-specific treatment.
• Provides direct patient care to assigned patient age group(s).
• Responsible for the care and maintenance of department/entity equipment and supplies.
• Ensures preventative maintenance is performed according to the established schedule.
• Manages resources within budgetary guidelines; assists in developing the annual budgetary request for the department and administers the approved budget.
• Demonstrates a commitment to patient, visitor, and staff safety by complying with all applicable safety regulations, learning the impact of medical errors, reporting actual and potential errors, and identifying opportunities to standardize processes and "error-proof" systems.
• Maintains established policies and procedures, objectives, quality assessment, safety, environmental, and infection control standards.
• Maintains current awareness of Federal, State, and local regulations and standards of the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations pertaining to MRI and recommends compliance.
• Enhances professional growth and development through participation in educational programs, current literature, in-service meetings, and workshops.
• Provides outstanding service to all customers; fosters teamwork; and practices fiscal responsibility through improvement and innovation.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 5–8 years of work experience required, including supervisory experience.
• Accredited program in radiologic technology and training in MR procedures required upon hire.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, along with computer skills.
• One of the following ARRT certifications required upon hire:
