MPAS Instructional Designer

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain and update the program's curriculum map
• Ensure alignment of courses with ARC-PA standards and program learning outcomes
• Track course- and program-level competencies to identify gaps or redundancies
• Serve as the primary staff member on the Curriculum Committee
• Collaborate directly with faculty to review program data and recommend evidence-based curricular improvements
• Support faculty in revising existing courses for clarity, engagement, and learning outcomes
• Afford assistance in developing new courses or modules to meet evolving program needs
• Afford support for ensuring instructional materials follow best practices in health professions education
• Build and maintain courses in Canvas with standardized templates and accessibility compliance
• Implement best practices for course design, navigation, and engagement tools
• Provide troubleshooting and technical support for faculty and students
• Work with faculty to ensure strong course design
• Conduct regular course audits and implement improvements based on feedback and best practices
• Guide faculty on learning science, active learning strategies, and assessment design
• Serve as a point of contact for ongoing instructional support, troubleshooting, and coaching at the master's level
