Motorcycle Range Aide
Non-Credit Instructor position in Workforce Development & Continuing Education. Exempt status; hours vary based on department needs.
About the role
The Motorcycle Range Aide assists the MSF Rider Coach Motorcycle instructor’s instruction on the range. Responsibilities include range instruction exercise set-up, garage storage organization, record keeping within the fleet maintenance system, and participation with demonstrations as needed.
Schedule
- Weekend shifts: 6:00 am – 1:00 pm or 1:00 pm – 8:00 pm
- Ability to support weekday courses on Wednesday and Thursday mornings preferred but not required
Pay
$18.00 per hour
Responsibilities
- Set up range instruction exercises
- Organize garage storage
- Maintain records in the fleet maintenance system
- Participate in demonstrations as necessary
Requirements
- Valid driver’s license and Motorcycle “M” endorsement
- Ability to stand continuously for 6 hours
- Ability to carry, push, and pull 25 lbs
- Ability to bend at the waist, rotate upper body, kneel, and bend at the knee
- Manual dexterity for manipulation of vehicle driving tools and equipment
- Adequate reflexes to ensure safety while operating a motorcycle and golf cart
- Ability to speak and hear over surrounding noise of motorcycle instruction
- Ability to tolerate exposure to extreme weather conditions for extended periods
Qualifications
- Required: Valid driver’s license and Motorcycle “M” endorsement
- Preferred:
- Two years of riding experience
- Completion of Motorcycle Safety Foundation’s Basic Rider Course
