Responsibilities

  • Execute repairs under warranty to manufacturer specifications
  • Perform work specified on the repair order with efficiency and in accordance with dealership
  • Able to learn new technology, repair and service procedures, specifications, and able to operate electronic diagnostic equipment
  • Test-drive vehicles, and test components and systems, using diagnostic tools and special service equipment
  • Perform routine maintenance – Tasks include oil changes, tire rotations, transmission flushes, air conditioner re-charges, front end alignments, inspections, battery installations, and headlight/taillight installations
  • Conduct diagnostic procedures – Includes extensive diagnostic inventory to determine the sources of customer's problems and provide accurate repair recommendations
  • Manage paperwork – Maintain legible and accurate paperwork for both the customer and our records
  • Maintain cleanliness - Ensure the work environment is clean and safe to ensure equipment longevity and workplace safety

Requirements

  • At least 1 year of experience or related training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Experience in both front and back of parts counter is preferred
  • Strong communication and customer relations skills
  • Strong math and reading comprehension skills
  • General understanding of various functions of a distribution center
  • Ability to lift 60 lbs and work at heights of 25 feet or more
  • Ability to use a forklift or willingness to be certified within 90 days of hire
  • 18 years of age or older
  • Warehouse experience and material handling equipment experience preferred
  • Computer-literate with the ability to learn and become proficient in any software program
  • High school diploma or equivalent degree preferred
  • Valid driver’s license and a clean driving record
