Mortgage Loan Processor
Full-time, hybrid role based in Concord or Meredith, New Hampshire. Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM. Non-exempt, paid bi-weekly on Fridays.
About the role
The Merrimack is seeking a detail-oriented and organized Mortgage Loan Processor to join our Residential Lending team and support borrowers through an important financial milestone. In this role, you will manage mortgage loan files from application through closing, helping ensure documentation is accurate, complete, and aligned with applicable requirements.
Responsibilities
- Communicate with borrowers, lenders, and third-party vendors to support timely loan file completion.
- Review mortgage loan applications for accuracy, completeness, and required documentation.
- Prepare and send initial disclosures and re-disclosures within required timeframes.
- Order appraisals, flood certifications, legal documentation, and employment verifications as needed.
- Review purchase and sales agreements, earnest money deposits, credit reports, income documentation, and funds for closing.
- Monitor the loan pipeline daily and provide timely status updates to Mortgage Loan Officers.
- Submit files to underwriting, request additional documentation, and prepare files for closing once cleared.
- Maintain accurate information in the loan operating system and support compliance with applicable regulations.
Requirements
- Six to twelve months of mortgage loan processing experience, preferably in a banking environment.
- Knowledge of banking operations, loan processing, and related regulations preferred.
- Working knowledge of secondary market mortgage products.
- Strong attention to detail, organization, and follow-through.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to build effective relationships with internal teams, borrowers, and external partners.
- Solid working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel.

Pay
Negotiable based on level of experience between $23.00 – $27.00 per hour.
