About the role

The Mortgage Loan Processor at Forest Area Federal Credit Union plays a crucial role in the mortgage process, ensuring loans move smoothly from approval to closing while providing excellent member service.

Responsibilities

• Partnering closely with Mortgage Loan Originators to help members move through the mortgage process smoothly and efficiently
• Gathering, reviewing, and verifying loan documentation for accuracy and completeness
• Communicating with members, realtors, title companies, builders, and vendors throughout the loan journey
• Ordering and reviewing appraisals, title work, flood certificates, and other required documents
• Identifying and resolving issues early to help keep loans on track and closings on time
• Preparing loans for closing, disbursing funds, and ensuring proper filing and archiving of documents
• Managing pipeline updates and maintaining organized, accurate loan records
• Providing exceptional member service while identifying opportunities to support additional member needs

Requirements

• 1-3 years of related experience in mortgage processing, lending, or financial services
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
• Comfortable using computer systems, email, and learning new software platforms
• Someone who enjoys problem-solving and takes pride in accuracy and teamwork

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Experience in a customer service role is preferred
• Knowledge of mortgage processes and terminology is beneficial

$X per hour, depending on experience

Schedule

Full-time position, Monday through Friday, with some evening and weekend work as needed
