MORTGAGE LOAN ORIGINATOR – RICHMOND, IN

KTL Performance Mortgage is seeking a Mortgage Loan Originator to join our team at our Richmond, Indiana office. While experience in mortgage lending is a plus, it’s not required. About The Role

As a Mortgage Loan Originator, you’ll guide clients through one of the most important financial decisions of their lives — purchasing or refinancing their home. You’ll help them understand their options, communicate with honesty and clarity, and provide personalized solutions that fit their needs. You’ll also build strong relationships with referral partners such as realtors, title agents, and insurance agents to develop new business opportunities and serve your community.

Responsibilities

• Proactively prospect and develop new mortgage lending opportunities
• Build and maintain relationships with realtors, title agents, insurance agents, and other referral partners
• Work with clients to determine the best loan products and terms for their individual goals
• Generate accurate and complete mortgage applications
• Pull and review credit reports, analyze client information, and issue pre-approvals
• Submit loan files through automated underwriting systems and work with internal teams to obtain approvals
• Communicate clearly and consistently with clients and partners from application to closing
• Provide guidance and encouragement to clients who may not yet qualify, helping them create a plan to become home-ready

Requirements

• 1–3 years of mortgage industry experience preferred but not required
• A strong desire to help others and make a positive impact
• Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and eager to learn
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to doing things the right way
• Familiarity with mortgage products (Conventional, FHA, VA, USDA, etc.) a plus
