Mortgage Claims Supervisor - Remote

Overview

The ideal candidate enjoys collaborating with clients, industry partners and internal teams to maximize outcomes for homeowners.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise and direct the activities of the Claims Department to ensure compliance with internal policies and procedures, investor guidelines, and applicable state/federal laws and regulations
  • Enhance staff performance through goal setting, training, and coaching when applicable
  • Monitor internal/external audit findings to ensure claims are filed in accordance with investor/agency/insurer requirements
  • Participate in the implementation/development of procedures to increase efficiency; adjust to required changes when necessary
  • Provide daily/weekly/monthly loan status in preparation of client calls as required/scheduled
  • Review/approve department quality review responses to both internal and external audits
  • React to and successfully navigate changes in daily/weekly volume to ensure continued success within the department
  • Conduct monthly one-on-one meeting and performance scorecard for direct reports
  • Facilitate and assist with training as necessary for both new and existing employees
  • Review exception report for system data integrity and provide trends to management as applicable
  • Resolve escalations from team members within the Supervisor's scope of responsibility
  • All other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required
  • 6+ years of experience in default mortgage servicing and/or mortgage insurance claims and/or the legal field
  • 2+ years of supervisory experience
  • Strong knowledge of accepted business practices in the mortgage industry and understanding of claims processing for HUD, FHLMC, FNMA, and VA
  • Strong knowledge of foreclosure process and appropriate guidelines
  • Strong leadership and management skills
  • LPS-MSP (Mortgage Servicing Platform) experience
  • Ability to motivate and train staff
  • Ability to manage time and priorities
  • Ability to make sound decisions and resolve issues
  • Ability to work independently and effectively meet deadlines
  • Ability to communicate effectively in writing, in person, and by telephone
  • Ability to use Microsoft Office applications, specifically, Excel and Word
  • Ability to maintain strict confidentiality

Pay

Compensation Range: $52,400 - 88,000 annually. Actual compensation may vary within the range provided, depending on a number of factors, including qualifications, skills and experience.
