Mortgage Banker Outside Sales

About the role

A Mortgage Banker at Ameris Bank is responsible for sales efforts to originate and close mortgage loans. This includes engaging away from company and home offices to engage in direct sales activities with clients and develop referral sources such as real estate brokers, builders, developers, and other referral networks.

Responsibilities

• Engage in direct sales activities with clients and referral sources to solicit business and generate leads for mortgage financing requirements.
• Work independently to meet weekly sales targets and generate new business opportunities.
• Develop relationships with clients and referral sources to build long-term customer loyalty.
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless service delivery to customers.
• Adhere to Ameris Bank's policies and procedures while maintaining high standards of professionalism and integrity.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of 2 years of sales experience, preferably in a financial services environment.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of mortgage products and processes.
• Understanding of banking regulations and compliance requirements.
• Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
• Experience with CRM systems is a plus.
