Role Summary This position involves providing technical support and operational maintenance within a network monitoring environment. The role is entry-to-mid level, focusing on supporting over 20 monitoring platforms, configuring servers and laboratory environments, and performing physical infrastructure tasks. The position offers opportunities for growth through hands-on experience and collaboration with senior engineers. Responsibilities Provide Day 2 support across multiple network monitoring platforms, including Cisco Catalyst Center, while learning established operational procedures. Configure and stand up servers and laboratory environments, including ISO deployment, network configuration, OS installation, and software deployment. Perform physical infrastructure activities such as server installation, cabling, wiring, and IP address configuration. Support system administration functions, including user provisioning and device onboarding within monitoring and management platforms. Collaborate with senior engineers to follow documented procedures and gradually assume greater responsibilities in operational activities and issue resolution. Create and maintain detailed technical documentation using tools such as OneNote, Outlook, Google Docs, and Google Workspace. Develop work plans and deployment documentation to facilitate communication with manufacturing and remote sites. Complete deployment request forms and assist with implementation planning and coordination efforts. Support troubleshooting, operational requests, and ongoing platform maintenance as responsibilities evolve. Conduct independent technical research, document findings, and implement solutions to support system stability and performance. Qualifications CCNA certification required. Working knowledge of networking fundamentals including cabling, switching, routing, NetFlow, QoS, IPv6, DNS, IP addressing, and routing configuration. Hands-on experience with Cisco Catalyst Center and network or systems monitoring platforms. Experience supporting Linux and Windows operating systems. Strong documentation skills, capable of creating clear technical procedures and knowledge transfer materials. Ability to work independently, perform technical research, and troubleshoot issues effectively. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage changing priorities and meet deadlines. Comfortable performing physical infrastructure tasks alongside software and systems configuration activities. Publishing Pay Range: $45.00 – $55.00 hourly This is a hybrid role and can be performed from an approved location.
