Job Summary
Support NAMc manufacturing operations by performing in-process inspections of molded materials, material handling, inventory control, packaging, documentation, and production support activities. Responsibilities include conducting dimensional, functional, and visual quality inspections, maintaining accurate production and inventory records, transporting and storing raw materials, work-in-process, and finished goods, supporting cycle count activities, investigating inventory discrepancies, and ensuring proper containment of non-conforming materials. This position plays a key role in maintaining product quality, inventory accuracy, and production efficiency while ensuring compliance with BD Quality Systems, safety policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements. Regular, punctual attendance is an essential function of this position. Ability to read, write, and understand English is required. Must be willing and able to uphold BD Values.
Job Responsibilities
- Perform dimensional, functional, and visual quality inspections according to approved procedures and specifications.
- Communicate non-conforming materials and quality concerns to Quality and Management.
- Accurately complete required production, inspection, inventory, and quality documentation.
- Package finished products and apply appropriate labels according to work order requirements.
- Maintain open communication to ensure production issues and changes are addressed promptly.
- Perform line clearances before and after production runs.
- Verify product labels and documentation for accuracy.
- Record production issues, defects, inspection results, downtime, and related data.
- Assist with cross-training and on-the-job training of team members as needed.
- Transport raw materials, work-in-process, and finished goods using approved material handling equipment, including forklifts, tallyhos, and manual methods.
- Perform cycle counts and assist with inventory discrepancy investigations.
- Ensure proper segregation and containment of rejected raw materials, semi-finished products, and finished goods.
- Retrieve, organize, stage, and properly store raw materials used in production.
- Perform basic preventative maintenance activities associated with assigned equipment and work areas.
- Participate in Continuous Improvement initiatives, including 5S, Kaizen events, shift start-up meetings, and process improvement projects.
- Support department goals through participation in KAS and Safety programs.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment in accordance with 5S principles.
- Dispose of scrap materials and maintain containment of materials around ancillary equipment.
- Accurately process raw material and finished goods transactions to support logistics, quality, production, and financial systems.
- Follow Manufacturing Execution System (MES) requirements and production reporting guidelines.
- Ensure quality products are produced in accordance with manufacturing documentation and specifications.
- Maintain accurate inventory records to support production and warehouse operations.
- Support inventory control activities to ensure material accuracy and availability.
- Perform other duties as assigned to support business needs.

- Complete accurate and timely documentation.
- Execute raw material and finished goods transactions accurately.
- Comply with production reporting requirements utilizing MES.
- Support inventory accuracy through cycle counting and reconciliation activities.
Supervision
This position does not supervise associates at any level.
Education and Experience
Education Required: High School Diploma or GED.
Experience: Manufacturing experience preferred. Two (2) years of manufacturing experience may be considered in lieu of a High School Diploma/GED.
