Mobile Reefer Trailer Mechanic

About the role

The role involves maintaining and repairing mobile refrigerated trailer equipment to ensure efficient operation and compliance with industry standards.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair refrigerated trailers to ensure operational efficiency and compliance with safety regulations.
• Diagnose and resolve mechanical issues related to refrigeration systems, electrical components, and hydraulic systems.
• Perform preventive maintenance checks to prevent breakdowns and extend the lifespan of equipment.
• Work closely with other technicians and supervisors to coordinate repairs and troubleshoot complex issues.
• Follow all safety protocols and adhere to quality control measures during maintenance and repair processes.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least 2 years of experience in automotive or heavy equipment mechanics.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to operate company vehicles.
• Knowledge of refrigeration systems, electrical systems, and hydraulic systems.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in using diagnostic tools and equipment.
• Experience with refrigerant handling and leak detection.
• Understanding of environmental regulations and their impact on refrigeration systems.
