Mobile Reefer Trailer Mechanic, Tuesday thru Saturday

About the role

Cox Fleet is a leading provider of on-site mobile maintenance and repair services for light, medium, and heavy-duty trucks and trailers. We offer preventive maintenance, DOT inspections, and a variety of repairs at customer sites.

Responsibilities

• Perform certified DOT inspections and preventive maintenance inspections
• Diagnose and repair/replace compressors, coils, electrical components, etc.
• Follow and comply with safe operating practices and procedures
• Manage parts inventory and equipment provided on company-issued service truck
• Operate company-issued service vehicle, conduct safety checks, and pre-/post-trip inspections
• Document work performed using company issued iOS device and proprietary TRAIT application
• Complete DOT forms and other forms of documentation
• Respond to call center dispatched unscheduled service and maintenance requests
• Perform minor adjustments and repairs on various types of trailers, equipment, and systems
• Assist Mobile Trailer Technician I with diagnostics

Requirements

• High School Diploma/GED and 3 years' experience in a related field
• At least 3 years of experience with refrigerated equipment
• ASE T8 (PMI) certification
• ASE 608/609 certification
• Valid driver's license

• Ability to lift, bend, climb, stand, and walk for long periods of time
• Ability to communicate information in a succinct and organized manner
• Ability to determine the type of tools and equipment needed
• Ability to use logic and reasoning to solve problems
