Mobile Reefer Trailer Service Technician

Murphy-Hoffman Company, LLC is North America’s largest Kenworth truck dealership group and leasing group. As MHC continues to grow, we have an opening for a Mobile Refrigeration Service Technician.

Responsibilities

• Performs mobile mechanical repair at customer locations, receiving on-the-job training in a development program to achieve Service Technician status.
• Performs preventative, contract, and scheduled maintenance on customer equipment utilizing a mobile service vehicle.
• Repairs basic refrigeration, fuel systems, electrical systems, microprocessors, cooling systems, and general maintenance.
• Promotes and sells mobile service to potential customers.
• Performs troubleshooting on unit problems.
• Attends training sessions and meetings.
• Maintains a neat and orderly working area and proper handling of company tools.
• Advises the Shop Foreman if additional repair work is necessary.
• Provides excellent customer service.
• Follows safe work practices and procedures, uses safety equipment when required, responds to suggestions for working safely, and seeks assistance when necessary.
• Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor.

The role includes operating, repairing, maintaining, or monitoring heavy equipment, machinery, or motor vehicles, or handling hazardous materials and/or waste.

Requirements

• Good working knowledge of Carrier and Thermo King unit operations.
• Self-starter able to manage their own time.
• Ability to effectively communicate with customers regarding mobile service.
