Position Summary
As the Mobile Phlebotomist Supervisor, you'll lead daily mobile blood drive operations while actively participating in donor collections. You'll supervise teams of approximately 2-10 staff members, including phlebotomists, training assistants, and other collection staff, ensuring every blood drive is safe, efficient, and delivers outstanding customer service.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and coach mobile blood drive staff
- Perform donor collections and phlebotomy procedures
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and operating procedures
- Lead daily team meetings and assign responsibilities
- Monitor donor flow and overall drive operations
- Resolve donor and staff concerns professionally
- Complete operational documentation and reports
- Drive company vans and, when required, coach vehicles to blood drive locations
- Maintain excellent communication with team members and drive coordinators
Schedule
- Full-time position
- Part-time candidates may also be considered if available for:
- At least 2 shifts per week, or
- 4 shifts every other week
- Schedule provided approximately two weeks in advance
- Early mornings, evenings, weekends, and overtime are regularly required
- No on-call responsibilities
Qualifications
Required
- High School Diploma or GED
- Minimum 2 years of leadership experience (Team Lead, Supervisor, or higher)
- Previous hands-on healthcare experience
- Valid driver's license
- Must be 21 years of age or older
- Clean Motor Vehicle Record with no moving violations or traffic points within the past 3 years
- Ability to obtain a CDL
- Strong leadership, communication, and customer service skills
- Ability to lift up to 40 pounds
- Flexible schedule to accommodate early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays
Preferred
- Phlebotomy experience
- National Phlebotomy Certification
- Experience leading healthcare teams
- Experience in hospitals, outpatient clinics, physician offices, laboratories, EMS, urgent care, mobile healthcare, or other direct patient care settings
