Phlebotomist (Onsite - Tulsa, OK)

Responsibilities

• Properly perform clinical specimen collection and process those specimens for Myriad lab testing in accordance with Myriad’s standard operating procedures.
• Verify test requisitions and consent forms needed for Myriad lab testing.
• Transport specimens to courier services (FedEx) as needed.
• Accurately explain procedures to patients and collect blood specimens in a skillful, safe, and precise manner.
• Possess strong communication skills.
• Maintain confidentiality and accurate handling of patient information in accordance with Myriad’s privacy policy.
• Maintain a safe and professional environment.
• Track all patient collection data and pending results with accuracy and guarantee completeness of documentation.
• Complete assigned training in a timely manner.
• Support the team in any audits of systems and processes.
• Complete other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or associate's degree preferred.
• Phlebotomy certification (if applicable per state law).
• 2+ years of phlebotomy experience, preferably in a laboratory setting.
• Reliable transportation and current driver’s license.
• Must have the flexibility to work extra hours to meet corporate and departmental goals.
• Must be able to travel domestically (up to 25%).

About the Role

The Myriad Phlebotomist is responsible for performing quality specimen collection services and other administrative duties on behalf of Myriad Genetics, Inc. Shift: Monday-Thursday 7:30am-4:30pm Pay: $21.63/hr.
