Treatment and Service

Treat all customers in a courteous manner. Ensures all urine and oral fluid specimens and phlebotomy specimens are collected accurately and on time.

Specimen Collection

• Collects specimens according to established procedures.
• Completes requisitions accurately.
• Processes and packages specimens for transport.

Documentation and Records

• Maintains required records and documentation.
• Maintains all appropriate Collection logs.

Data Entry and Expense Forms

• Submits accurate expense forms, if applicable, on the required day.

Clerical Duties

• Filing.
• Maintain customer log.
• Data entry.

Personal Conduct and Appearance

• Maintains departmental and company code of grooming and dress code and lab coat policies.
• Reports on time to work, following attendance guidelines.

Communication

• Communicates appropriately with clients, customers, coworkers and the general public.
• Communicates all unresolved problems immediately to the appropriate Manager, Supervisor, Group Leader or Phlebotomy Services Rep. II for resolution.
• Remains polite and courteous at all time.

Other Duties

• Keeps work area neat and clean.
• Disposes of biohazard containers when scheduled.
• Helps with inventories and other tasks as assigned.
• Stocks supplies as needed.
• Performs department-related clerical duties when assigned.
• Answers phones and dispatches calls when assigned.
• Participates on teams and special projects when asked.
