About the Role

Travel to Skilled Nursing Facilities and private residential homes to service patients. Treat all customers in a courteous manner.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure all urine, oral fluid, and phlebotomy specimens are collected accurately and on time according to established procedures.
  • Complete requisitions accurately and process/package specimens for transport.
  • Maintain required records, documentation, and logs (e.g., collection logs, customer logs).
  • Read, understand, and comply with departmental policies, protocols, and procedures (e.g., Procedure Manuals, Safety Manual, Compliance Manual, Automobile policies, Employee Handbook, Quality Assurance Manual).
  • Perform clerical duties including filing, data entry, and maintaining logs.
  • Submit accurate expense forms on the required day, if applicable.
  • Demonstrate organizational commitment and adhere to grooming, dress code, and lab coat policies.
  • Report to work on time and follow attendance guidelines.
  • Answer the telephone professionally, incorporating the company name, self-identification, and a helpful statement.
  • Communicate appropriately and confidentially with clients, customers, coworkers, and the public.
  • Escalate unresolved problems immediately to the appropriate manager or supervisor.
  • Maintain a polite and courteous demeanor at all times.
  • Keep work area neat and clean, and dispose of biohazard containers as scheduled.
  • Assist with inventories, stock supplies, and other assigned tasks.
  • Perform department-related clerical duties, including answering phones and dispatching calls when assigned.
  • Participate in teams and special projects as requested.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
