MOBILE PHLEBOTOMIST (LAWTON, OK)

Our Blood Institute is actively seeking qualified candidates with a proven track record of reliability to provide a safe and pleasant blood donation experience for donors.

About the role

This position offers world-class paid on-the-job phlebotomy training with no experience required. The successful candidate will be a shining example of superior customer service, professionalism, donor care, and technical ability.

Responsibilities

• Perform registration, vitals, medical screening, phlebotomy, heat sealing, and record-keeping duties for whole-blood, autologous, directed, therapeutic, testing services, and research projects
• Strictly adhere to all standard operating procedures to ensure blood products meet quality standards set by regulatory agencies, including the FDA
• Assist supervisor in verifying and completing daily paperwork
• Alert the supervisor of any problems or concerns related to equipment, venipuncture, donor questions/issues, or equipment performance
• Continually assess donor needs throughout the donation process, including evaluating and treating donor reactions
• Educate donors on blood facts, such as donation frequency and the need for blood products
• Perform all other duties assigned by the supervisor

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED (college classes are a plus)
• Available to work a flexible schedule, including early mornings, late evenings, and weekends
• Reliable transportation and working telephone
• Ability to stand for long periods and lift 40 lbs regularly
• Strong communication skills, detail-oriented, and ability to work well with others

Pay

• Competitive pay based on experience
• Additional pay for technical school certification, associate degrees, bachelor’s degrees, etc.
• Additional pay if fluent in Spanish
• $500 bonus after 6 months, $1,000 bonus after 1 year, and $500 bonus after 3 years
